We’re living in a crazy time. Almost everyone deals with stress, some of us a lot more than others. Instead of suffering, why not learn some useful skills that will increase your ability to cope with life’s stresses more peacefully and with far greater ease. When we are exhausted and overwhelmed, it’s asking a lot for us to become calmer on our own, and we may need some guidance from an experienced coach. Learn Self-Healing Techniques
I use elements of several modalities in my work, applying them as needed for the individual with whom I’m working. As breathing is so essential for life itself and everything we do (without breathing we can’t survive very long), we will probably do some breathing exercises. People who have been tense for a long time are most likely not moving their bodies very well either, so we’ll bring in some Feldenkrais movements and maybe some Qigong. Because stress affects both body and spirit, Qigong gives much insight into both. We might employ some sound healing too, because everything can be improved with the right “vibrations”, that is, with sound. Full recovery from stress might also not be possible unless we consider that excessive stress may have caused our bodies to become depleted in key nutrients, especially minerals. Systematically replenishing our losses in these areas is vital for healing and we’ll address whatever you need in our work together.
